Prices Double room 25 pesos
per person, including & free Internet Directions First go to the main plaza. Then from there ask for Mitre street, which leads directly from the main plaza to the hostal. Go 7 blocks to 833 Mitre. |
| This hostel has young managers who have also travelled. It is a very relaxed place. (The name Prisamata roughly translates to "Speed Kills".) The hostel used to have dorm rooms with several beds for a lower price but it has recently been changed quite a bit and now is a more "upscale" hostel with a table in each room, area rugs on the floor lights for each bed. | |

The main plaza or main square in Salta is called the Plaza Principal. Anyone can tell you where that is. But if you are arriving from the bus station, ask for San Martin street. San Martin only goes one direction from the bus station, so walk up San Martin (the same direction as the traffic goes) until you get to the tourist information office. Then continue walking one more block until you see the pedestrian street (no cars) on your right. It is called Paetano Alberdi. Turn right on Paetano Alberdi and follow three blocks to the Main Square. On the other side of the square, Alberdi is called Mitre Street. Keep going on Mitre 7 blocks till you get to 833 Mitre.
Zeppelin Bar - The bar Demian manages which helped him save up money to open the hostal.
http://www.nosomosparte.com.ar - The band Ariel played with in Buenos Aires.
Horseback Riding - A friend of the hostal, Miguel Wheeler, offers horseback riding.
